Hidden Mode allows you to control how much information your secondary users (team members) can see while scanning, making it ideal for building a sourcing team without exposing your margins.
ScoutIQ 2 (Recommended)
In ScoutIQ 2, Hidden Mode has been simplified to focus on fast, clear decision-making:
What your user sees
Instead of checkmarks or Xs, ScoutIQ 2 uses full-screen color feedback:
π’ Green Accept banner β Buy the item
π΄ Red Reject banner β Skip the item
π Accept but Restricted screen β Item meets criteria, but has restrictions

Key differences in ScoutIQ 2
ScoutIQ
In the original ScoutIQ app, Hidden Mode limits what the user sees by simplifying the scan results:
A large Green checkmark for Accept
A large Red X for Reject

This prevents secondary users from viewing detailed profitability data while still allowing them to follow your sourcing rules.
Hidden Mode is especially useful for paid scouts or team members who are not responsible for evaluating profitability on their own.
When to Use Hidden Mode
Hidden Mode is a great fit when:
You want to protect your margins and sourcing strategy
Youβre working with paid scouts or new team members
You need your team to follow triggers, not analyze data
If your team member is a partner or someone you trust to make deeper decisions, you may prefer to turn Hidden Mode off so they can see full scan data.
