Adding Thriftbooks as a Custom Link in ScoutIQ

A detailed walkthrough of the process for adding a custom link to Thriftbooks in ScoutIQ and ScoutIQ.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

While ScoutIQ offers wholesale integrations with select partners, ThriftBooks does not currently allow third-party access to their API. Translation: we can’t build a native integration.

But good news—you can still access ThriftBooks quickly while scouting by adding it as a Custom Link. It’s a simple setup, and once it’s in place, ThriftBooks is just a tap away.

Let’s walk through it.

Step 1: Navigate to Settings

First, head to the Settings tab in the app.

Step 4: Enter the ThriftBooks URL

Now for the magic part. Enter the appropriate link below:

  • ScoutIQ:
    https://www.thriftbooks.com/browse/?b.search=#####

  • ScoutIQ 2:
The http:// portion is already populated, so just enter:
    www.thriftbooks.com/browse/?b.search=#####

Step 5: Access ThriftBooks from the Scout Screen

Once saved, ThriftBooks will be available via the Custom Link icon along the bottom of the Scout Screen.
